Hi Nigel, just going through some old posts and I saw that I didn’t really answer your question. These are on the edge of Peoria (Bartonville) this specific area being very industrialized. The buildings in this shot are abandoned and I’m not even sure what they once were! There are other working factories near here and all are right along the Illinois River. I drive through when traveling to my mom’s and the area is just so interesting. The landscape goes from rural farmland to wetlands to floodplains and levees to this area which is highly industrialized and somewhat in decay. It’s ripe with photo ops and I’ll probably spend a good amount of time doing just that one of these days. 🙂
