Basil. Did I hear BASIL? You must have green fingers, the right climate or a combination of both. It so needs ultra care and I think I am putting my hands up in surrender which is a pity as I love the herb.
Mick sorry to taunt, but basil just does really well here! The high summer temps and humidity allow it to thrive in my garden up until frost – the first of which is expected next week.
Ireland is too cool, I suppose.
I love it and grow batches every year just to make pesto for the freezer, which is a welcome treat in the dead of winter.
Here’s to virtual sharing of basil and other garden goodies……..not much, but the best I can do (along with the image, of course π
Looking so good (I love my fresh food)
Hi Mick, thank you π
I’m still getting plenty of tomatoes and basil but a freeze is on the way next week…….
Yes I love fresh garden food, too! Thank you.
