This image is just wonderful and I love the title. The format is so perfect and the feeling of depth you have in the foreground leading your eyes to the buildings and the Horizon, well Just could not be better!
There are many photographers who wouldn’t take their camera out of their bag if the sun wasn’t shining. This shot captures a dull day in a farming landscape perfectly. It’s great. You’ve got your horizon on the lowest 3rd of the frame and the blank but grey sky leads the eye down to the ground.
Dull days – a perfect description. These are some of my favorite days to shoot, when the light is low but atmospheric. If I’m somewhere worth shooting, I’m not going to waste the opportunity :).
Your haybale image is wonderful. With a train even! And those fabulous clouds!
