Oh, how ethereal! Love milkweed…glad to see it in the Midwest. I read an article recently about the importance of Midwesterners planting milkweed for threatened populations of Monarch butterflies (some say they’ve declined 90% due to increased use of Round-Up in agriculture – no milkweed/no Monarchs). So spread those seeds around, Sharon! ๐
Thanks, Eliza. Milkweed is pretty common in the Midwest. I hadn’t heard about the monarchs!
I agree. We’re a culture too strict in our obsession to keep every ditch, pasture, lawn and garden manicured and green with turfgrass.
While in the UK last spring I marveled at the fantastic wildflowers and grasses and sweeping pastures that looked unkempt and natural. Besides being beautiful, it’s so much better for the environment.
superbe
Merci :).

Truly beautiful! And, yes, even ethereal!
