Hi Vessel, and thank you very much :). These scenes are so common in my area and I guess evoke a landscape archetype for others as well. I very much appreciate your input. Thank you!
Thanks, Paula. I’m not familiar with that show, but I’ll check it out today.
These roads lined with corn are so common – like driving in a tunnel. A bit dicey at the intersections but otherwise great fun when the plants are tall!
Thanks, Mary. I spend a lot of time driving these country roads. This time of year it’s mile after mile of corn and soybeans. Sometimes it looks so boring that the repetitiveness itself becomes interesting – if that makes sense.
I noticed on this drive that the landscape has turned the corner from high summer to the slow and gradual drydown. When did that happen? Shouldn’t it still be spring?
As Joni Mitchell sings, “And the seasons, they go round and round…” I try not to let the southward slide of the sun get me down, but it does seem to come awfully quickly these past few years! π
Amazing composition, just loved it!
Thank you. π
Stunning
Thanks, Seonaid. π
Timeless
Thanks, Bruce. π
Wow , Stunning Sharon
Thank you Nigel! π π π
After stunning and timeless, it seems I am left with merely awesome, and this is not enough ~ speechless and deeply meaningful ! ~ Amen :Y

Wants me want to take a ride down that road. On a funny note, reminds me of the opening of the tv show The Middle. lol

One of those amazing quiet scenes – I agree the composition is great.

It makes a lot of sense, plus you have an eye for being able to see what would translate beautifully in the lens.
Classic! Love the play of light and shadow, gold and green.
Thanks, Eliza. You have such a great eye!

Autumn will be here soon………
Have a nice Tuesday. π

very nicely captured
Hello Nelson :-). Thank you.
Bicycling those beautiful roads are one of the things I miss most about the place. Thanks for the great reminder!
David!!!! π
But oh, did you find other stunning roads to take – mountains instead of fields; glaciers instead of corn.
I’m happy the image brought good memories.
Think of you each time we go by that lovely old house……

Reminds me of a summer I worked in the cornfields outside Quincy, Illinois.
