Hello Seonaid, yes, it’s called a corn crib. They’re as common around here as dirt – and very photogenic.
I’ve never thought about it, but you’re right about it being poetic. One of those things where you hear the word so much you lose insight into it’s sound. I do know from experience they’re not to be confused with barns (said the city girl living in the rural area…………)
Very photogenic indeed, and I love the nameπ It is funny how we don’t think much about words we use all the time….outsiders eyes and ears are sometimes very useful ! Xx
What a most gorgeous stark wintry scene Sharon! Love it ~
Hi Mary, thank you :).
I do love winter!
I love this…is it really called a crib…or is that poetic license? Either way it’s great

It’s the best part of blogging, absolutely!
Another “Wyeth-esque” shot – love it, Sharon!
Hi Eliza, this comparison made my morning. Thank you very much :).
Wonder Barn and Image Sharon π π and you have Snow π π
A little here and there, yes. Thank you, Nigel!
Absolutely stunning photo Sharon, very bleak and atmospheric – it would look brilliant as a piece of wall art!!
Thanks Andy! I’ll have to remember that – hoping to show and sell some pieces at a festival this summer. π
Good luck with the festival Sharon, I’m sure you will have no problems at all selling some of your artwork!!!! π
Another beauty – perfectly processed and composed, with all the steadfast dignity of that old building, resting comfortably in place.
