    • Hi Sally,

Thank you :). I agree completely. Milkweeds are a workhorse of nature, aren’t they? Your gardens must be lovely.

Mine is pretty small and packed to the brim, but I did collect some seed on the prairie yesterday I might try to sow this fall.

Lovely to hear from you :).

    • Mish, thank you :). So nice to hear from you. What a pretty gravatar picture! I feel I’ve been gone forever….it was quite a summer as I lost both my mum and father-in-law within a month of each other in August/September. Around that same time I also took part in my first art fair as a vendor with a tent and all the accoutrements. I hadn’t planned on everything happening at once. But I got through it and am getting back into nature hikes and photography.

I’m very much hoping for a slow (and cold and snowy!) winter so I can catch up blogging and reading others’ blogs.

      Thank you. xo

      • Sharon, I am so sorry for your loss. I can’t imagine what you’ve been going through. Sending you healing thoughts and prayers. I think there is comfort and healing in nature as well.
So glad you are back in the blogosphere. Love your work. πŸ™‚
        Take care,

        Mish

    • Thanks, Andy. They’re crawling with insects all summer and then like magic morph into the interesting seed heads you see here.

Monarchs are becoming endangered in the states and so there’s a big push to plant milkweed and other natives that attract them. πŸ™‚

      • That’s almost unbelievable that Monarchs are becoming endangered in the US, they are almost your national animal, they symbolise how so many of you care about your environment πŸ™‚
Good to see you doing your bit to help this amazing butterfly πŸ™‚

  1. Sharon, this is an incredible image, and in reading through the comments, I see that you’ve had loss and challenge recently. Sending thoughts for healing and calmness
