Thanks Mary. A freight train came roaring by a few minutes later. I loved that! Also, the overpass bridge in the background was just constructed. The shot ends up being a “then” and “now”, I guess.
Extraordinary black/white/greys…the “Bethlehem” intrigues me as well. I assume it is a name of the town or city in PA? Yet it holds wider meaning as I see it.
Hi Cynthia, I think it’s for Bethlehem Steel, where the structure was manufactured. I know this having had family who worked (and still work) at the Bethlehem Steel Mill in Gary, where I grew up. And yes, the corporation was named after the town in PA — it’s original corporate headquarters. Thank you for your comment! I appreciate it :).
Quiet pastime of younger years. Beautiful shot Sharon!

Thank you :).
Very cool with past and present merging.

Oh, my ignorance shows…that makes perfect sense, of course. 🙂 My pleasure to comment–your photos often are so uniquely good.
