  1. Just a wonderful image Sharon, great composition I love the way they are heading off into lake. Swans just have to be the most photographic subject on the water and you have done a great job here!

    Well done !

    • Hello Nigel ๐Ÿ™‚ Thank you!! This family was such fun to watch. Mom led the way while the little ones mimicked her every move. You can see to the left the water is thick and marshy and as she led them through it they had to paddle extra hard; she wound around in a tight pattern to get out and they were right behind her. Yes swans and those long graceful necks….the beauty queens of the marsh!!…….thanks Nigel ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. I agree with Nigel, more beautifully images with amazing light on the swans. I like that the last two cygnets are hanging out with Dad, either that or they are tired and just can’t keep up. It’s fascinating the Mom leads the… is it a flock? or a wedge? maybe a wedge is only when they are flying… beautiful images, Sharon, thank you

    • Thank you Scott!! Like you I assume that’s mom in front and dad in back but whichever it was they were such a treat to see :-). Remember the Hans Christian Andersen tale of the Ugly Duckling who turned into a swan? I kept thinking of that as I took the shots and how un-ugly these toddlers were. It made for a compelling story, though :-). Thanks again ๐Ÿ™‚
