The curves that boards form are elegant. It will be an interesting abstract picture if you take only a part of the wall. Nobody thinks that it’s the wall of the barn.
A sunken treasure in the prairie… I like the patterns created by the exposed beams and the gentle sinking, almost as if this old barn is just taking a nap π Hope you have a great weekend, Sharon

I think the foundation over time deteriorates from many decades of winter freeze/thaw cycles and also from heavy spring rains.
It looks like the roof was likely damaged in weather or wind and, for whatever reason, never got repaired.
It’s a wonderful structure full of character and yes, I am happy to witness its ongoing history!
