      To me, they evoke summer ditches along the side of the road – highway or rural – and the back corner of the yard of my childhood home.

      We called them tiger lilies. I think these ditch lilies are a less hybridized version.

    • Thanks, James. I passed this charming scene off a local highway the other day and turned right around, parked in the lane and trespassed (just a little!) to get a few shots. πŸ™‚
