The crooked tree is amazing.. (I guess there are a lot of crooked trees but.. the one that is almost a backwards N is the one I am talking about)… Beautiful photo as well… (love the light coming through in small patches)
Thank you! The bluff in this shot (and in the series I hope to do soon) was once inhabited by many Native Americans. I think the crooked old white cedar in this image might a trail marker tree, once cut and trained by Indians to grow and point to a landmark. In this case, that landmark would be lake Michigan. I hope someone who knows more about this subject could confirm….
