Nick Drake was born & brought up in the village of Tanworth in Arden, Warwickshire – just 5 miles away from where I live now. Each year a Festival is held in the village in tribute to him and his wonderful music. He was snatched from us at such an early age. Did you know that John Martin’s song “Solid Air” was his tribute to Nick?

I’m not familiar with John Martin’s “Solid Air” but I will certainly check it out. Yes, snatched much too early. Like many great artists, his sensitivity was just too fragile for this old world of ours. He left the gift of music, though, and for that I am grateful.
