We walked up the very narrow, steep and winding staircase all the way to the top – a challenging trip but very much worth the trouble. The views were beyond compare.
Farms and simple homes still dot the landscape along a new interstate. A front-yard view of pastures and sunsets is replaced with four lanes of concrete and the whoosh-hum of highway traffic.
